Robert Zemeckis Attached to Produce 'How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack

Robert Zemeckis is back in action.
Just after a month after the poor performance of the Zemeckis-produced Mars Needs Moms sent the filmmaker out of town to regroup, Zemeckis and his Imagemovers banner are attached to produce an adaptation of How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack.
The book, by Chuck Sambuchino, is in the process of being optioned by Sony Pictures Animation.
The tome is described as a "comprehensive survival guide that will help you prevent, prepare for and ward off an imminent home invasion by the common garden gnome. Once thought of as harmless yard decorations, evidence is mounting that these smiling lawn statues are poised and ready to wreck havoc."
No screenwriter is attached.
Despite reports, the project is not being envisioned as an R-rated movie.
