Bradley Cooper Now Playing Lucifer in 'Paradise Lost' for Alex Proyas

Variety
Just last month we found out that Bradley Cooper was in talks to star in the remake of The Crow. Interestingly enough, now the actor is in talks to work with the director of the original 1994 film. Variety reports Cooper is in talks to play Lucifer in the adaptation of Paradise Lost from Alex Proyas. Based on John Milton's epic 17th-century poem of the same name, the story follows the epic war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer, including the latter's role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace. The film is being crafted as an action flick with plenty of aerial fighting, and there's a chance it'll even be shot in 3D.

We first found out Proyas was going to direct the adaptation back in September of last year, but this is the first real development on the project we've heard since then. Though a deal hasn't been finalized for Cooper to star, the actor is adamant about taking the role and negotiations are expected to begin very soon. You have to hand it to Cooper for taking on a wide variety or roles. After seeing Limitless, I'm quite interested in seeing him broaden his horizons on screen, and this sounds like a great way to continue that trend.
