LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Mike Sorrentino, the "Jersey Shore" star known as The Situation, has become the latest cast member from MTV's hit reality show to sign a spinoff deal with the cable channel.
Sorrentino is not attached to a specific project at the moment, but a pilot will be filmed later this year for a possible series pickup.
MTV recently greenlit two untitled "Jersey Shore" spinoff series: one features Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, while the second is led by Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio. Both shows, expected to bow some time in 2012, center on the trio's lives away from the mothership show.
