Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro will all be in celebration mode today as their latest film, action flick Limitless topped the US box office in what was quite a disappointing week. The film, which sees Cooper taking a pill to become a “perfect version of himself” took just $19 million but still managed to beat out all competition to take the number 1 spot.

Also opening this weekend was The Lincoln Lawyer, the film stars Matthew McConaughey as a Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Having spent most of his career on small cases, he finally gets the case of his career defending a millionaire playboy. While the premise may sound interesting, the public were less that inspired and the film managed to come in at fourth place for it’s opening weekend, taking just $13.4 million.

Maintaining it’s place in second position this weekend is Gore Verbinski’s animated, animal western, Rango. The film took $15.3 million, bringing it’s domestic total up to $92.6 million and it’s global haul to a total of $139.5 million.
