Arnold Is Back With 'Last Stand' And 'The Tomb'

"I'll be back." Never before has that classic Arnold Schwarzenegger promise sounded sweeter.

If it were up to us, Arnold would be in every movie now that his time isn't being monopolized by being the Governor of California and all that. But we suppose he's not as young as he once was, so he's got to move a little more slowly -- meaning there are currently only two movies in the works that might star the comeback-seeking former action hero.

Arnold is circling two possible projects and, yes, they're both action thrillers (huzzah!): Lionsgate's "Last Stand" and Summit Entertainment's "The Tomb," according to Variety.

The Running Man has already received an official offer to star in "Last Stand," despite the fact that he has yet to actually meet with the director, Jee-woon Kim ("I Saw the Devil"). Arnold would be replacing Liam Neeson as a border-town sherrif who battles a Mexican cartel boss.

Meanwhile, "The Tomb," to be directed by Antoine Fuqua, follows an authority on structural security who's framed for a crime and put in a high-security prison that he designed. Arnold has apparently met with Fuqua and a few Summit bosses and everyone's very interested in making a movie together.

Scheduling conflicts with the various players in both games could make things a little complicated, though Schwarzenegger is hoping he'll be able to do both films.

And so are we. And many, many films beyond these two. He's back!
